The Powerscourt Gallery aim to provide lovers of art with affordable and accessible pieces by exceptional Irish and International artists. The gallery opened in 2009 with a clear focus on this key objective.
We were approached by the gallery to develop a website that would be attractive and useful to both the public and the gallery staff. The website needed to be an effective communication platform, a means of managing the various artworks on display in the gallery, a central resource of artist information, artworks themselves & exhibitions and to facilitate customer enquiries.

We identified ease of use as the most important point to consider when developing the site. Rather than being a time-consuming hinderance the site had to be an asset to the business and to the customers. To achieve this we took the time to clearly map out all required functionality until we arrived at the most effective set of tools required to achieve all the stated and anticipated needs. With this process of analysis completed implementing a custom website was a rapid and elegant process.
The end result is something the gallery are very proud of. The visual web design was an extension of the existing identity we had already completed for The Powerscourt Gallery. This further extended the strength of the new brand, reinforced by consistency.
We also developed an extensive administration tool that facilitated not only the management of the artists, artworks and exhibitons but also integrated directly with the website to collect and track customer queries pertaining to the art pieces available for sale.

The Powerscourt Gallery is now a popular and thriving entity in the Irish contemporary art scene and we enjoy a constant and varied workflow from the gallery team.
These screeshots were taken at the time of site launch, the site may have changed since then.
