PSP Irish Launch

Sony realeased the PSP (PlayStation Portable) to huge critical acclaim and financial success in Ireland in late 2005.  The launch of the PSP was an important event in the development of the iconic playstation games console.  To coincide with the launch we organised the Sony ITF Irish & European DJ Finals that saw over 50 DJs from 20 countries across Europe arrive in Dublin to compete for the gloabally recognised ITF DJ Champ title.

All concepts, production, logistics and artwork were handled by our events team and designers.  We also assisted Sony in branding and designing the environs of the venues we used.

These two events garnered national and international exposure and were seen by Sony as a great success. We also had special guests performing throughout the competition: Exile (Sound in Colour Records),  Aloe Blacc (Stones Throw Records), Giant Panda (Tres Records), Lord of Fitness (Germany) and highly-respected German and Polish DJs Marc Hype and DJ Krime performed and we’re also the key Judges at the event.

Both events were a huge success with over 2000 people in attendance.  We promoted the entire event, Stage managed both the Irish Fianls and European Finals and utilised our experienced event management staff  to manage and contain the logistical problems that naturally stem from different cultural/language barriers coupled with over 100 competing DJs arriving into the country at the same time.
