Established in 1980, M&D is a leading supplier of soft drinks, fruit juice, bottled water, biscuits and confectionery. “Jaffo” is one of the key brands in M&D’s portfolio – a delicious fruit juice made from 100% natural ingredients and containing no artificial colourings or flavourings.
Jaffo has a wide range of clients from the shop on the corner to the large national chains like Spar and Londis. Jaffo approached ChoiceCuts to assist them in developing an online presence that would allow them to communicate clearly with their clients and to facilitate online ordering. We designed and built a comprehensive e-commerce system for Jaffo based on the brief and new requirements identified after detailed consultation with the client and detailed scrutiny of order-related operating procedures in the company.
Operating in a B2B environment, an absolute necessity of the website was ease of use. To this end we advised on the best way to present the 420+ products online and how best to allow customers to place stock orders through the site. We approached the project from two distinct angles – the customer-facing frontend and the staff-facing backend.

The front-end design was developed in-house. Our goal here was to present the brand itself and the various products in the Jaffo portfolio in a uniform way and, crucially, to allow the user to easily add items to their shopping basket.

Before building the back-end funcitonality a comprehensive sysmtems analysis process was completed. From this we gained a full view of the current business operating procedures so as to determine exactly how Jaffo dealt with orders from clients. Accordingly we designed and built an administration area that allowed all aspects of the online store and general website content (news, special offers etc.) to be easily managed and updated by Jaffo staff.
A clear brief coupled with a forward-thinking client ensured this site ticked all the boxes in terms of functionality and ease of us.
These screeshots were taken at the time of site launch, the site may have changed since then.
